CRITIQUE

It was with great pleasure I accepted the WSSCSW invitation to judge their September Open Show.
I would also like to thank the exhibitors for their entries and for travelling from far and wide to attend with their lovely dogs.
Temperaments were excellent all round and I was very pleased with my final line up.
I thoroughly enjoyed my day.
Thank you all very much.

DOGS CLASSES

MINOR PUPPY DOG - No Entries

PUPPY DOG - 2 Entries

1st - Worth’s Sarabande Man in the Mirror. - 10 month old with a good outline and in excellent condition. Lovely head with dark eye. Correct angles and well ribbed. Moved well, on tight feet. BPD & BPIS
2nd - Cemis’s Shandwick Viscount. - Again, a 10 month old. Larger cast than 1 and not so compact. Nice head and everything else in the right place. A bit rangy on the move,

JUNIOR DOG - 5 Entries (1)

1st - Sutherland’s Jacronella Solo. - 17 month old. Well balanced young dog. Masculine head into good neck and well placed shoulders. Plenty of rib. Coat in good condition. Moved well.
2nd - Ellis’s Shannara Total Eclipse. - 19 months old. Good outline and angles. Moved ok. Would just prefer a bit more coat.

SPECIAL YEARLING DOG - 3 Entries

1st - Attwood’s Kylowen Drum. - Loved this dogs outline. Masculine head and good reach of neck into wel placed shoulders. Well ribbed. Rise over the loin into quarters with a good turn of stifle. Plenty of coat. Moved well but would like to see him a bit happier on the move.RBD.
2nd - Yacoub & Samsel’s Laithmoor’s Marek - Smaller cast than 1, but a compact dog of 22 months. Nice general outline. Masculine head, with dark eye. Would prefer a little more neck. Good spring of rib and well muscled. Moved ok.

MAIDEN DOG - 2 Entries

1st - Sarabande Man in the Mirror.
2nd - Shandwick Viscount.

NOVICE DOG - 4 Entries

1st - William’s Isfryn Spot the Difference. 12 month old lad with a pleasing outline. Good head and reach of neck into correct shoulder placement. Bodying up nicely.. Moved on strong rear quarters holding his topline on the move.
2nd - Sarabande Man in the Mirror.

GRADUATE DOG - 4 Entries

1st - Isfryn Spot the Difference.
2nd - Jenkins’s Brynseiri Afan. - Young dog of 14 months old. Nice outline. Masculine head of correct proportions. Clean neck and shoulders. Ribbing up well. Moved well from muscled hind quarters

POST GRADUATE DOG - 2 Entries

1st - Attwood’s Kylowen Drum.
2nd - Hankins' Haltonian Romeo with Woodelrond

LIMIT DOG - 4 Entries

1st - Reynolds’s Kamunting Castaway to Benoveor. - Pleasing outline. Good head with dark eye. Good reach of neck into correct shoulders. Well bodied. Strong hind quarters into tight catlike feet. Moved with drive.
2nd - Phillipson’s Menstonia Marksman. Sh CM - One I have judged before. Lovely outline. Good head and neck. Everything in the right place. Could change places with winner but just preferred movement of 1 today.

OPEN DOG - 4 Entries (1)

Two lovely dogs in this class but the winner just stood out for me.

1st - Harrison’s Sh Ch Glenbrows Trademark. JW - Beautifully presented dog, in excellent coat. Lovely ‘S’ shape outline from the tip of his nose to the tip of his tail. Masculine head. Good neck and shoulders. Well bodied with plenty of rib. Strong hind quarters that gave plenty of drive on the move. Oozes quality. BD & BIS.
2nd - Worth’s Sarabande Perfect Storm. - Good outline and plenty of bone. Pleasant head and eye. Nice length of neck to correct shoulder placement. Felt he didn’t match up to 1 in his rear movement.

SPECIAL BEGINNERS DOG - 4 Entries (1)

1st - Ellis’s Shannara Total Eclipse.
2nd - Yacoub & Samsel’s Laithmoor’s Marek.

VETERAN DOG - 3 Entries (1)

1st - Tew’s Pamick’s Dazzling Boy. ShCM - 8 years old and never looking better. Seems to have come into his own. Good outline, head and angles. In super condition. Moved comfortably on tight feet. BVIS
2nd - Baguley & Attwood’s Kylowen Gerrans.Sh CM - Smaller cast than 1. Lovely outline when stood. Well boned and bodied. Just preferred the movement of 1.

BITCHES CLASSES

MINOR PUPPY BITCH - 3 Entries (1)

1st - Harrison’s Glenbrows Liberty. - Lovely femine head. Correct angles at shoulder and stifle. Ribbing up nicely. One to watch. Could be a little happier on the move but moved fine. BPB
2nd - Reynold’s Glenbrows Loyalty to Benoveor. - Litter sister to 1. Slightly lighter in coat. Nice outline. Sweet head. Everything in right place. Should do well too. Not so settled on the move as 1 but better in later classes.

PUPPY BITCH - 3 Entries (1)

1st - Glenbrows Liberty.
2nd - Glenbrows Loyalty to Benoveor.

JUNIOR BITCH - 2 Entries

1st - Lampersberger’s Benovoer Field of Dreams to Kurzeja. - Pleasant outline. Very pretty head with dark eye. Clean in neck and shoulders. Good rib and turn of stifle. Moved ok.
2nd. - Sutherland’s Jacronella Symphony. - Nicely put together. Good bone. Nice head into good reach of neck. Angles good. Just preferred movement of 1.

SPECIAL YEARLING BITCH - 4 Entries (1)

1st - Jacranella Serenade. - Liked this broken coated bitch. Sweet head with correct bite, dark eye. Everything in the right place. She moved freely with good drive from her rear quarters.
2nd - Kylowen Demelza. - Neat outline. Femine head. A little finer than1. Generally well balanced throughout. Moved happily.

MAIDEN BITCH - 3 Entries (2)

1st - Glenbrows Loyalty to Benoveor.

NOVICE BITCH - 4 Entries (1)

1st - Glenbrows Liberty.
2nd - Glenbrows Loyalty to Benoveor.

GRADUATE BITCH - 2 Entries

1st - Kylowen Demelza.
2nd - Yacoub;s Laithmoor’s Kasya. - Compact bitch. Nice head. Would prefer a little more length of neck. Well bodied. Moved acceptably.

POST GRADUATE BITCH - 3 Entries (2)

1st Revill’s Julita Rokahlua. - On her own, but a lovely girl. Pretty head. Well ribbed. Clean lines throughout. Moved well.

LIMIT BITCH - 2 Entries (2)

1st - Slapestones Hepburn for Beneveor. - A bitch I have always liked. She oozes femininity. Lovely ‘S’ shaped outline. Pretty head. Good lines and well balanced throughout. Flowed nicely around the ring. BB RBIS & BOS.
2nd - Leary’s SH CH Menstonia Minty of Hazelmount. - Attractive outline. Femine head with soft expression. Correct angulation at shoulder and stifle. Held her topline well on the move.

SPECIAL BEGINNERS BITCH - 4 Entries (2)

1st - Ellis’s Glenbrows Fascination with Shannara. - Well balanced 4 year old bitch. Good head and neck into clean shoulders. Well bodied. Strong hind quarters produced good movement around the ring.
2nd - Yacoub’s Laithmoor’s Kasya.

VETERAN BITCH - 2 Enties (1)

1st - Sutherland’s Ch Julita Rezanella of Jacranella. - Lovely 7 year old lady. Looking good. Pleasant head and good reach of neck. Angles correct and she is well bodied. Moved on tight feet.

SPECIAL WORKING BITCH - 1 Entry

1st - Smith’s Isfryn Hocus Pocus. - Such clean lines on this bitch. Lovely flowing outline. Pretty head and dark eye. Well put together in every way. As expected from this kennel, a young bitch ‘Fit for Purpose’. Moved well on tight feet. RRB

SPECIAL NEW MEMBERS AWARD, DOG OR BITCH - 3 Entries (1)

1st - Yacoub & Samsel’s Laithmoor’s Marek.
2nd - Groot’s Isfryn ontheSpot. - Out of a larger mould than 1. looks slightly rangy at present. Good head with dark eye. Well balanced generally. Movement ok.
