Even if you are not showing your dog why not come along to support the competitors. There's always refreshments available. It's a great opportunity to meet up with club members and see a multitude of Welsh Springers in one place. As we are located in Chepstow it's a great setting-off place to go and explore the beautiful Wye Valley - there's the famous Chepstow Castle and the wonderful Tintern Abbey is just 5 miles away. Why not arrange a dog walk with friends and family and drop in to see us at lunchtime or later on to see the awards of the day's champions.

There's always a warm welcome at our shows and it's the ideal place if you want to learn more about the breed - we look forward to seeing you there.

JUDGE'S PROFILE

Mrs Hilary Male (Malenbrook)

I have been owned by Golden Retrievers since 1980 and have been fortunate to never having been without a dog since.

I have been showing for 28 years, showing Golden Retrievers and a Flatcoated Retriever under the Malenbrook affix. In that time, I have shown and bred a dog who is a Sh Ch, and have a young dog who has already got 1 CC, along with many Junior Warrant winners, Show Certificate of Merits and Stud Book Numbers.

I also enjoy the working side of owning a gundog, and have done agility in the past with one.

I award CC’S in Golden Retrievers and Flatcoated Retrievers, and have my first appointment for Labrador Retrievers in 2020. I have judged all breeds in the Gundog Group at Open Show Level. As a Championship Show judge, I have travelled all over the UK and to several European Countries and Russia.

I feel very honoured to have been invited to judge at your show and am very much looking forward to the day.

We are looking forward to seeing you all there

Also remember that 2020 is a very special year for the Club - it's our 40th Anniversary Year - and we will make every event one to remember.
