SPRING DOG WALK, MEETUP & PUPPY TRAINING
at Parc Cwm Darran, Deri, Bargoed, CF81 9AB

Parc Cwm Darran has been a popular destination of ours in the past, so we thought after all the lockdown restraints let’s meet up there again for a Spring Walk combined with a short Puppy Training Session..
This informal get-together will take in a walk around the picturesque lake and up into the forestry where we should be able to let the dogs run free. If enough puppies or new dogs turn up we will start the day with a puppy training session. If you’re new to the world of Welsh Springer Spaniels or considering getting one of these lovely dogs you’ll be able to get plenty of advice from the experienced owners here.
We will have our club gazebo set up as a meeting point, very close to the car park.
A beginners training session will cover the basics such as walking to heel, sit and stay exercises, and simple retrieves, all exercises that young dogs enjoy doing.
The visitors’ cafe at the Park will be open, for a hot drink or snack - but feel free to bring a picnic lunch if you prefer.
Meet at Visitors Centre Car Park at 11am.

Parc Cwm Darran is in the Darran Valley close to the village of Deri. CF81 9NR.
How to get there - If you have the ‘what3words’ app, the Visitor Centre carpark is at ‘disbanded.areas.maybe’
OR, Follow the brown tourist signs from the A469 in Bargoed or Pontlottyn. The main entrance and Visitor Centre carpark is located just to the north of the village of Deri.
