** OXWICH BAY Dog Walk **
Oxwich has been a popular destination for us for many years, - so we thought - "Why Change? Let's do it all again!".
All club members and guests welcome, two legged and four.
SAVE THE DATE!!!
This year our 'Post CHRISTMAS GATHERING' is a a few days after New Year's Eve so hopefully you will all be recovered from the season's festivities!
The Beach Welshie Walk is from 11am, Sunday 4th January 2026
OXWICH BAY, THE GOWER, SWANSEA
At the moment we plan to gather in the Beach Car Park – look out for our banner (or possibly gazebo) as a gathering point. From there we walk along the sea shore towards Three Cliffs Bay – distance and timings depend on the tide, the weather and how long we stop to chatter and gossip while the dogs race around maniacally like Welshies do (don't expect to take a dry dog home with you).
If we can arrange tea/coffee and cakes we will - but nothing is sorted yet - so please watch this space (or our Facebook page) for further info closer to the date.
Note: There is a charge for the car park, and you can drive right on to the top of the Beach.
Public Toilets are available on the Beach.
There is a cafe on the beach to get a hot drink and snack.

Please make sure you dress appropriately for the weather and terrain.
To find the location, If you are using ‘what3words’, the reference is ‘massing.teacher.contracts’ – which takes you to the centre of the car park, look out for our banner.
If using SatNav the post code for the Oxwich Bay Hotel is SA3 1LS - although remember we will meet on the beach, for which the turning is before you get to the hotel.
We like to keep this gathering very informal and there are no firm plans to organise a mass get together for a meal after the walk, but several people have said they hope to stop for a snack at the Gower Inn, Parkmill, Swansea SA3 2EQ - we can all discuss that on the day, during the dog walk
