  ** CRAIG-Y-NOS Springtime Dog Walk **

Sunday 27th April 2025

Craig-y-Nos has become one of our favourites and this year’s spring walk just reinforced that feeling because we had the best possible weather and a fabulous turn out of over 25 Welshies and their leash-holders (of course the non-Welshies were also welcome).

I was still hobbling about on my bad knee but I managed to go far enough with the pack to take plenty of photos – including the compulsory group-shot.

I would also like to thank Jackie English for her contribution of photos, especially some great pics of the dogs playing about in the water – which they obviously enjoy so much when they meet their old friends from previous walks.

Thanks again to Roger and Eira (the locals) who showed us around and gave us an update on the work that’s been going on at Craig-y-Nos since storm Darragh which arrived last December and whose 80mph winds destroyed upwards of 150 trees around the estate. You can see some of the devastation in the photographs.

Many thanks to everyone who turned up and we hope you all enjoyed the day out – and we are already looking forward to the next gathering – if you’ve got any ideas for somewhere new for us to visit please let us know.

Watch this space and our Facebook page for more info.

Please check out the gallery of photos on our separate Gallery website (wsscswgallery.wordpress.com) – and if you have any photos you’d like to add to the gallery please send them to me at – This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
