Parc Cwm Darran has been a popular destination of ours several times in the past, so we thought after all the lockdown restraints let’s meet up there again for a Spring Walk - and we thought to combine it with a short Puppy Training Session.

There was a great turn out for our Spring Walk at Parc Cwm Darran on a very sunny April morning – about 20 dogs brought along about 30 humans to enjoy this wonderful location and wonderful weather (except for a very cool breeze).

We started with a nice long walk up through the forest led by Jan Janes, who knows this location very well as it’s practically her backyard. After the climb up the hill through the picturesque woodland landscape we dropped back down to the lake and continued on around it back to the starting point - although some of the dogs decided not to go “around”, if you get my meaning.

Back at base many went off to the lovely visitor centre for a cuppa and that was followed by an attempt at a bit of puppy training – but many of the dogs were still a bit excited at meeting old and new friends I don’t think they took much notice of the training. But we did manage to go through the basics with sits and stays and walking to heel.

The gallery of photographs is on our separate gallery website - click here to go and browse through them - I hope you enjoy them – sorry I didn’t follow the whole walk as one of my pack went AWOL and I had to track him down – and many thanks to Mel for his contribution. If you have anymore to add please send them on to me.

I think everybody who came enjoyed the day and we’re looking forward to the next one already – look out for our announcements here and on our Facebook page.
