It was a shame we had to postpone this event as a mark of respect to the passing of Her Majesty the Queen Elizabeth II, but the management of Penllergare Valley Woods are delighted to announce that the Country Fayre will now take place this coming weekend on:
SATURDAY 24th SEPTEMBER 2022
And the Welsh Springer Spaniel Club of South Wales will be there to greet anyone who wants to learn about this wonderful dog breed.

The Country Fayre at Penllergare Valley Woods
Saturday 24th September from 11am to 3pm.
Our friends at Penllegare, one of the birthplaces of the Welsh Springer Spaniel breed, have once again invited us to bring our Breed Display Stand and some of our lovely dogs to their Country Fayre.
You will be able to meet our dogs and talk to the very knowledgeable Welshie owners and give you some tips and an idea of what it is like to own one of the few breed of dogs that originated in Wales.
It will be a lovely day out, showcasing our breed to people visiting the Fayre.
Since we last saw the dedicated group of people who look after Penllergare – pre-pandemic – they have been busy with projects around the Woodlands and visitor areas, pride of place taken by their new wood carving of "Llew", a Welsh Springer Spaniel.
We haven't had a dog walk meet for a couple of months so this will be a good opportunity to meet up again at a venue which will be new to many of you. There will be plenty of other attractions at the Country Fayre and some lovely woodland walks for you to enjoy.
